"Pink" & "Floyd"

These two were purchased from Live Aquaria's Divers Den in late December, 2008 and delivered to us January 6, 2009. We had purchased a third but the good Drs. deemed it unhealthy for shipping. So we now have a pair. They were 1-1/4" and 1-3/4" when we received them. Upon introduction there was minimal fighting. A little chasing, no nipping. They pulled some Rod's Food out of the water column on day 1 and were picking at the rock and tank walls for algae as soon as they were introduced. Very lively!

They have been a great addition to the tank. We can easily tell the two apart now and believe they have developed into a male/female pair. The male has been demonstrating to the female since late March and the two may have begun breeding, although we have not witnessed anything beyond "flirting" nor collected any eggs. The male's soaring behavior is extremely entertaining and we hope to capture a video of it to post here.

Sorry for the quality of the photos below. They were taken with flash and at a distance, without any supplemental lighting from the reef tank.
